Description of 1995 Land Rover Range Rover |
|
Over $80k invested in this Rover, including >$50k spent with Congleton Service in Vermont (the premier Range Rover restoration shop). This is a 1995 Range Rover Classic 25th Anniversary edition, of which 250 were sold, all in Aspen Silver with Black interior. Mine also has what is probably the only TWR kit for a LWB Range Rover in the US, and also has the relatively rare Range Rover factory roof rack. Clean title. No rust. Highlights of the work performed by Taylor Congleton (<10k miles since work was done): - New 5.0L high performance engine (based on a Rover V8); usable power throughout the range and noticeably quicker than stock - Revised ECU tuned to go with new engine - Customized Congleton Racing aluminum radiator (hugely beefy), oil cooler, and transmission cooler - New engine mounts - New ZF transmission - Remanufactured transfer box - Installed Roverville remanufactured radio - Overhaul EAS (air suspension) system, with new airbags and components - Overhaul steering / suspension bushings - Oil pump - NRP stainless steel exhaust - Waxoyl and hardwax applied to underbody - New heated windshield - New headliner - New Trucklite 27270 LED headlights (huge upgrade in performance at night) - Dynamat in key areas to reduce sound/heat, including bulkhead and drivetrain tunnel and doors - Various hoses/parts replaced with new as well - Some cosmetic things, such as front grille and other trim Other work that I can remember (I have full service records from my ownership): - Regular oil changes every 3,000 miles or 6 months - All regular maintenance / fluids - Tires have 10k miles (Michelin LTX MS2, so they'll last forever) - Wheels were re-powdercoated in the silver finish - All wood refinished by Madera Concepts - Probably a lot more - Battery plug for a CTEC battery tender installed - Recently repainted front and rear bumper to get rid of rock chips Considerations / issues: - Cruise control and heated seats do not work - Window adjustments do not work, but seat adjustments work |
