The first generation Lincoln Continental is regarded as one of the outstanding automotive designs of the Classic Era. For 1941, just 850 of the Continental Coupes were produced, with few surviving today - especially in this condition. While the early history of this particular car is unknown, it has lived in the Pacific Northwest for many years. It has been collector-owned since at least the 1960's, when it became a part of the Alpenrose Dairy museum collection in Portland for the next 30+ years. Following being displayed, this Continental received a full restoration from the next owner, who spared no expense to make this car a knockout. Laser-straight body with beautiful, deep black mirror finish. All chrome and trim re-plated and polished. Interior restored by renowned Northwest upholsterer, Stan Jones. Correct saddle tan leather with wool broadcloth inserts. (This is probably one of the few Contientals not upholstered in red!) Excellent condition throughout. Instruments restored. Correct date-coded glass throughout. Car has a factory AM radio and heater/defroster. Spotlight. Mechanically, this car is a standout. Fully rebuilt 292 c.i. Lincoln V-12 engine. 120 HP.
