It may be hard tobelieve, ut in 1988, he vaunted Mercedes Benz 560SL retailed for $61,131. Even today that amount of money would buy a veryfine car. The clamshell works perfectly too.She has a new battery (which is massive and expensive), nd a recent tune upHer tires are in excellent shapeShe starts every time and is very reliableShe is very quiet during operation with no unusual soundsThere are no warning light on in the dash, ll gauges work - even the center mounted temp gauge and the clockShe drives true and straight and has no signs of previous accident or paintworkThe trunk is extremely clean with no stains or wearThere ispinstriping on the car too - which appears to have been painted on (which is how dealerships added to the base price of the vehicle).I will also make sure that the oil ischanged on the car before it ships (or you take delivery).
There are a few very minor areas of surface rust - BUT - they will be professionally fixed prior to purchase. If you know 560SL's, ouknow that there arefew areas prone tominor rust. Again, his will be fixed, s well as, ll minor scratches, tc.. After all, his car is nearly 30 years old. So please do not expect amuseum piece. She is, owever, ery nice - in fact, ne of the nicest I've owned. And she drives perfectly.Such a pleasure to take her out on a warm sunny day.
I love these cars and you can rest assured that they are money in the bank and willsharply appreciate. There are few on Ebay in the $40 to $60k range already. The are future classics for sure.
