Description of 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series |
This is a well maintained and recently painted 300TD Mercedes wagon. This wagon has had the original non-turbo engine replaced recently with a newer turbo engine. The OM617 solid steel engine is known as the million mile engine and there is no reason that this car will not last for another 30-40 years. The air conditioning is not working at this time. This is the same make and model that John Lennon bought new and was seen driving around New York with all of his equipment in the back. It has the SLS (self leveling suspension) that will allow you to take heavy loads without strain. The transmission has been rebuilt and the car drives smoothly and shifts well. See what people say about this car... Google "the car that will never die" and Bloomberg. You will see a great article about these cars. They seem to be going up in value about 25% a year. To see the current value just go to Haggerty's for a valuation tool. Or see similar cars at Mercedesmotoring dot com. |
