Description of 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente

Solid. dry. straight car. All original body panels. Original (I'm pretty sure!) 289 "K" motor (4 barrel). 3 speed C4 automatic. bucket seats. One 1" area of rust. a couple of very minor dings - but all panels are straight - no indication that the car has ever been wrecked. Power top works great. but the top. window and well need to be replaced. All glass is there. no cracks. Steering gear needs attention - something is loose. Black vinyl interior is in OK condition. but I don't believe it's original. Carpet is in pretty good shape. Shifter or linkage or transmission needs an adjustment to not pop out of "Park". Engine starts great. runs reliably. Original AM/FM radio is in the car but doesn't work. All trim pieces seem to be present and in good shape. Original hub caps. Comes with a set of new (reproduction) window felts. I'm selling this car for my sister-in-law who has owned it about 9 years. She was told it was in a barn for 12 years before she bought it. She believes there was only 2 or 3 previous owners.
