It took a while for Edsel Ford to convince Henry to build the Mercury that would place as a big car with luxury above the Ford and below the Zepher. It took center stage as an instant hit on the market. A low priced luxury car with great economy and a 95 HP Flathead engine delivering 20 mpg with a sleek low wide body. This car started as an apparent low mileage car that all fit good and was well...cared for. Appears restored 15-20 years ago, clad in respectable Vermillion Mercury red with good - not perfect- chrome and stainless with some pitting. Car is extremely solid bottom to top. Interior is original tan ribcord with tan velour seat covers. It rides on 4 recent whitewall tires. The engine is detailed to "like new" with dual exhaust. The 95 HP Flathead V8 mated to the 3 on the tree transmission runs and drives very good and delivers all the fun of the dual exhaust V8 with the stick. Youtube video available upon request.
