Description of 1969 MG Other MGB GT |
You are viewing a very rare "Primrose Yellow" 1969 MGB GT with factory wire wheels. Garage stored for many years and used only in the summer months. Very few miles covered for many years and has pretty much been stored for the last few years. A truly stunning example that is in fantastic condition considering it's 46 years old. Being offered at "Low Reserve". Bid with confidence with my 100% positive feedback. International Buyers are welcome to bid on this rare Bertone designed classic coupe. **Please read the entire listing prior to placing a bid ** Bidders with less than 5 feedback transactions must make contact prior to placing a bid. Becoming a very rare collectible model with values on the rise. The rare "Primrose Yellow" is a fantastic period color that was also used on Jaguars, riumphs and Austin Healeys. Transmission: 4 Speed Engine #: 1865-WE-H-17399 Color: Primrose Yellow/Black interior Mileage: 36,948 (actual mileage is unknown) Title: Clear "Michigan" Title **I will be adding more pictures within the next few days.** Mechanically the GT is in very good running condition. The engine runs nicely with 50 lbs of oil pressure at idle. Previous owner indicated the Engine was rebuilt approximately 25 years ago with .030 Pistons. Has upgraded spin on oil filter conversion to make oil changes easier. The engine compartment is in fantastic condition and is very tidy. Hood prop bracket is broken and will need to be remounted. Still works, ut should be addressed. Transmission shifts fine however the shifter seems to rattle a bit. Clutch operates as it should as do the brakes. You can hear the U Joints when taking off in first some times which indicates that they will need some attention in the near future. Tires are old with cracks in the sidewall. Has been upgraded to a Weber down draft carburetor with electronic fuel pump - much better than the dual SU's. Exhaust system is in good condition and has a nice sound to it. Fitted with an "Alloy" valve cover. The interior is in very good condition as shown in the pictures. The dash is in nice shape and is still fitted with the original dealer installed radio. Both seats and door panels are in very nice condition. Headliner is nice as well. Interior door handles and window cranks work as they should. Carpet in good condition. Headlight switch works intermittently. Radio in-op. Has Aftermarket oil pressure gauge and amp meter. Still has the original "Banjo" style steering wheel which has been well preserved. The Body is in very good condition as shown in the pictures. Pretty much rust free body including the rocker panels and lower fenders and quarter panels. The MG underwent a light refresh many years and still shows very nicely. At that time it was repainted and had the exterior rocker panels replaced as well as any other areas that needed repair. Rocker panels retain the correct factory seams as noted in the pictures. Body imperfections consist of some pin sized chips in the paint on the hood and on the fenders. It should be noted that the body has the normal imperfections from an older repaint. Floors are very solid with the exception of the driver's side which has a few soft spots. The Grill is in very nice condition as shown in the pictures. Front and rear bumpers are in excellent condition. ONCE AGAIN....LOW RESERVE AUCTION! **Please have your finds in order prior to bidding. **For the motivated buyer I will consider ending the auction early for a serious offer, owever I do not have a "Buy It Now" price set.
