Description of 1969 MG Midget Convertible |
In an effort to make room for a new classic, I am offering my 1969 MG Midget up for a "no reserve auction". A wonderful opportunity for the British car enthusiast to get into a rare MG at a low price.
Bid with confidence with my 100% positive feedback. International Buyers are welcome to bid on this great classic convertible. **Please read the entire listing prior to placing a bid ** Bidders with less than 5 feedback transactions must make contact prior to placing a bid. Becoming a very rare collectible model with values on the rise. The MG Midget has been a favorite for British car enthusiasts for many years. Noted for their simplicity and reliability at an affordable price. This MG has been garage stored for many years and had been used as a weekend driver. It was taken off the road about 6 years ago for some engine work. A rebuilt cylinder head was installed, however the MG never left the garage after the work was done. It has not been started since and is in non-running condition. Looking for a good home for this great British Classic. Transmission: 4 Speed Color: Green with Black interior Mileage: 101,896 Title: Clear "Michigan" Title **I will be adding more pictures within the next few days.** I purchased the MG from the long time owner this past year. He was a true MG enthusiast and enjoyed it as his weekend driver. About 6 years ago, the plan was to rebuild the cylinder head over the winter and get it ready for the next driving season. A rebuilt cylinder head was installed over the winter however once spring came along, family got in the way, and the MG never left the garage. It is a solid example that is ready to be restored again and brought back to it's former glory. It has not been started since being brought out of storage. Mechanically the MG is in non-running condition. When I purchased it, the owner did get it to run with starting fluid, so I have heard the engine running for a short period of time. The clutch and brake hydraulics are still working. Body: The body is solid including the floors. There is rust present in some of the typical places including rust bubbles in the rocker panels as well as other misc. areas. Paint quality is decent. The interior is in good original condition as shown in the pictures. The correct seats and door panels are in good condition. Carpet is in good condition as well. The convertible top is in fair condition - it is functional and will keep the MG protected. ONCE AGAIN....A NO RESERVE AUCTION! **Please have your finds in order prior to bidding. **For the motivated buyer I will consider ending the auction early for a serious offer, however I do not have a "Buy It Now" price set. The fine print: If you have 5 or less feedback transactions, you must contact me prior to bidding. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is due within 24 hours of the auction end. If the deposit is not received, the "MG" will be offered to the next highest bidder. The balance is due within 7 days of the auction end date. The car must be picked up within 10 days of the auction end date. A $10.00 per day storage fee will be charged after the 10 days unless prior arrangements have been made. For International Buyers, I have sold several vintage cars to overseas buyers with the buyers being extremely pleased with the sale. "Rear License Plate" not included. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me. I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. |
