Description of 1954 Other Makes Jet |
NOWAVAILABLETO YOU IN VENTURA CALIFORNIA 1954 Hudson Jet. This is an incredibly clean car for its age and low production number. Original drivetrain, aint, nd interior. Nothing missing as well as being registered and insured. 202 Flathead Straight 6 with the single carb option. Overdrive 3 on the tree transmission. Many unique features in the construction of this car that have you a lot of bang for your buck for what was on the market when produced. Has run and driven recently although afterfurtherinvestigation has rust in the gas tank. The fuel line has been removed only at the carburetor inlet in order to run on a small gas can to verify that the motor was indeed a healthy sounding and solid specimen. From what I have seen a new or cleaned gas tank and a little TLC and you would have yourself a very nice cruiser. The drivetrain, uspension, nd brakes of this car seem to be very original, nmolested, nd very complete. To my knowledge they are all in good working order. What it would take to make this car a good daily driver from all of what I have personally seen:New or cleaned gas tanknew or cleaned fuel linenew or charged up batterynew or dissemble and rebuild the ignition cylinder for the key Concerning conditions that i have seen:With almost any old car rust is definitely one of the most important factors of the automobile. The rust that I have seen on this car I would say is 2 of 10 (10 being rusted out and un-savable.) The worst is on the very most front lower lip of the hood. It is the only place i have found where it has broken the surface of the paint. Other than that the upper cowl towards the windshield, rip rails, nd other small spots have only seemed to "orange" the surface and have no real texture. In fact when looking in the trunk floor under the upholstery where i expected to find rust, came across a seemingly very solid trunk floor. There is one thing that I can not stress enough; the mostresponsible thing any two parties can do in business is communicate. So if you have any questions, oncerns, r would like any more specific information or pictures I would be more than happy toaccommodate to your needs the best I can. Please call or text anytime 615-423-2087 |
