1940 PackardSuper Eight Club Sedan. (Only original once!!) Original and authentic example of the most desirable PACKARD Sedan of 1940. This is a time capsule that can be driven with confidence and is guaranteed to be a people's favorite at any gathering of car enthusiasts. Packard was the great American car of the 1930's and 1940's. The Club sedan is considered by many collectors to be the most beautiful of the various closed model designs of the decade. The 127 wheelbase accentuates the long hood, hort deck design highlighted by a unique split rear glass and the classic Packard grill out front. The 1940 Packard, -main bearing, traight eight is considered one of the great automobile engines of all time. It is amazingly smooth with torque to spare. The 3-speed manual transmission shifts perfectly through its column mounted lever. Original paint. Packard was also known for their effortless steering plus independent, oil spring front suspension, ydraulic brakes and incredibly comfortable seating. Drive a Packard and it will be easy to understand why owning one was the height of luxury and comfort 75 years ago. Recognized as a Full Classic by the Classic Car Club of America (CCCA), he Packard brand is the most honored manufacturer in that prestigious club. Recentlywent through the fuel system including removing and hot tanking the gas tank and then coated it inside with a sealer. Installed a new mechanical fuel pump with an electric (primer) pump. Also rebuilt the carburetor and went through the brake system. Rebuilt the wheel cylinders. Powder coated and installed new Diamond Back radial tires. The car runs and drives like a dream.
