Description of 1950 Packard |
This California Car was restored frame on over a three year period. The total cost of restoration was over 60k. The Over Drive still needs work and the two tail lights need to be re chromed. In 2014 the car was used as a company mascot and got a good work out and can use a detailing which will be done prior to sale. Car runs great mechanically and this past year all bugs have been worked out. The work that was done is too long to list here but I would be happy to have a chat. This car get a lot of attention. It's lines are elegant and is far more attractive than the 4 door version. It drives like its on rails and you can cruise all day at 70 -75 mph. I've been told radials would make it handle more nimbly. This is a 4000 lbs car with enough room inside to have a wedding reception. It has 42000 original miles. Parts have never been a problem to find. The intake and exhaust manifold were replaced this year solving a starting problem due to a crack and I was able to find a manifold in one day. If you buy it you can feel safe driving it home if you didn't care about the paint job. The surface was plastic bead blasted and there was no rust to be found except a few stops on the rocker panels and these were repaired. You will get a lot of complements with this car. If I didn't need the cash I would have entered it this coming year in the Great Race. MAYBE YOU CAN. Immediate Serious bidders need to be pre verified. |
