Description of 1947 Packard Super Clipper Custom Eight |
A very cool Art Deco looking 1947 Packard Super Clipper Custom Eight An incredible luxury touring Sedan. This is an incredible time capsule and the top of its class. This rare model has the special trim and front and rear checker pattern bumpers. It also has the larger straight 8. It has a 3 speed transmission and overdrive and purrs and drives like a Packard. You can go anywhere with style in this automobile. Thedark blueblue paint is the perfect color and was done by its longtime owner many years ago. The interior is all original. The wood and all trim is in good shape and all there. This car is very hard to find with no rust/rot. It has been garaged its entire life. Drive this car as you tinker with it and you will never want to sell her. She sounds and drives like a Packard should. Remember, Packard was called the American Rolls Royce and are getting veryhard to find in this original condition. For additional information, contact Greg at 313-414-3540. The famous slogan for Packard's quality was Ask the man who owns one. Oddly, this 1947 Packard Custom Clipper is in such a superior class by its own today that you might never find a peer at car shows. Packard’s have always been about providing premium motoring, and this one is true elegance and an “art deco” design on wheels. The bodywork, chrome grille, lights, and all other major components show signs that they were in the care of someone who knew that maintaining A Packard was a sign of wealth and distinction when it was new, and the reputation has only grown as these elegant machines have become more rare. This one is a cut above, I inherited this time capsule from the 2nd owner, my father. He cherished this 47' Packard. Took it on tour regularly. Big and powerful. She has had only 2 owners from 1947, always garaged. Stored and kept in dry covered storage. Regular starts and drives. Regularly serviced. Ready for driving and touring. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
