I purchased the Packard in July of 2011 from the family that purchased it new in February 1941. The car was purchased from the Motor Car Company of New York, in Newark, NJ, for $2,607 and was chauffeurdriven for many years. I have the original bill of sale. The car has 85,000 miles and is mostly rust free except for the left front wheel well. The car is original. It's the original engine but it was recently rebuilt - valve job, rings, main and rod bearings, clutch, and fuel pump. The crankshaft was machined and balanced at that time. Since the rebuild the car has been driven less than 100 miles and runs and drives great.
