Description of 1974 Plymouth Barracuda |
I am selling this at no Reserve don't miss out if you're seriously looking for a 74 Chrysler Plymouth Barracuda Hi and thank you for lookingUp 4 sale 1974 Plymouth Barracuda . I'll describe the car as best as I can I bought it to restore but I have MS and it's gotten worse so it's one of the cars I'm Letting Go. I'll start with the build sheet it was in the backseat and I can't see anything typed on it other than I think it's BXin crayon I have no idea what that means This car has been Under a cover for 20 years. When Ipurchased it .We prepped the motor it started right up. . runs GREAT very quiet one tiny blue puff when it first starts other than that it doesn't seem to smoke or have any noise .. I was pretty amaze it ran so good for sitting after 20 years I know the Chrysler guys will all be going yes thats Chrysler for you LOLit drives and shifts we drove it around our yard ... the master cylinder is locked up... forward neutral reverse works transmission fluid isn't burnt smells very sweet and a nice red... With the master cylinder being frozen I didn't want to test-drive the speedo at 150 LOL :-) The car is triple black original paintAnd vinyl body strips OptionsAir conditioningRally DashTurn signal indicatorsConsole3 speed automaticTinted glassVinyl topRally Chrome mirrors The car is pretty much a hundred percent original other than the wheels n tires . The glass is pretty clean couple little very fine scratchs one scratch on the windshield all Glass is original .Windows go up and down freely I haven't checked to see if the AC is holding pressure but the compressor does turn freely the clutch won't lock up could be low on freon I'm not going to get that far In to it . THE BODY I'm a body man for 40 pluse years I come from the a time when we would repair most of this stuff but with the price of new parts it's just as easy to replace so I'll go through and tell you what I can tell you about it the rockers r soli, the structure of the car to me is very solid door pillars unibody front unibody from what I can see very solid rad support seems solid . I tried to take the best pictures of everything as I could .okay floors are rough you can repair or replaceroof needs to be replaced... the Trunk I guess you can replace trunk floor ... and thequarters... I found a couple holes in the outer wheel wells from what I could feel ... the doors I've been told they were solid but I'll check that again tomorrow and update my listing.. front fenders they're so inexpensiv i guess just replace them ... But being the old body man I am i would fix the fenders I don't feel they're very bad just the bottoms at the door and a little spot Where The Hood meets the drivers Fender about a foot back from the front and it's weird because that's where the air conditioning hose was bolted downh and the option tag was screwed underneath the air conditioning hose I will put a picture of the option tag was rused almost as if dirt and snow must have sat in there and rusted the ends of the tag where it screwed inwith that said there only original one time that's why I Would fix them I don't think they're that bad solidtrunk lidhoodlower front valancerear Valancerear tail light panel I think both doors are very solid I'll update tomorrowdoor panels are beautiful armrest nice I know I probably forgot the ton of stuff and I will update tomorrow and add some pictures of the engine compartment and interior if you have any questions please ask .Also I hope I didn't talk too much but I know there's people out there far away that can't get here to look at it and I know if I'm looking at something to buy I like to get as much information as I possibly can on it good luck if you decibid to bid. ... |
