Hey eBayers: Here's your next project car. Available for you to bid upon is this 1973 Porsche 914. Fresh out of long-term storage (10 + years), this 914 is aching to hit the street again. The car is in Chrome Yellow with a black targa roof. The original 1.7 liter air-cooled four cylinder is found under the engine cover and still carries the Bosch D-Jetronic fuel injection. The original round air cleaner housing is included. The 5-speed manual transmission is under there as well. The battery tray is heavily rusted but the remainder of the engine compartment is pretty solid. The front trunk floor is sound with only a couple of small areas requiring patching. The rear trunk floor is very sound. Exterior panels only show surface rust and there's a mild crease on the passenger side. The front hood has been replaced with a unit that's a 9 out of 10. Chrome bumpers show their age as do the top rubbers front and back. The floor pan is quite sound but there are a few areas that will require some metal work. The driver's side longitudinalis the worst area but does not affect the structure as both doors close solidly. Please refer to the undercarriage photos for details of these areas. The interior is surprisingly sound and clean showing only a couple of tears that mar it's appearance. There's an aftermarket cassette player in the dash and the original steering wheel has been replaced with a MOMO prototipo leather-wrapped wheel with a Porsche crest horn button. The shift knob is a wooden knob with the Porsche crest on it as well. Tires are brand-new 165/80R15 radials with zero miles on them and come on four Western turbine style cast aluminum rims with 3 center caps. All window glass is good. The outside passenger door handle is stuck and there's a crack in the targa top. I have not attempted to start the car but the engine turns and it will be up to you to go over everything on the car to get it operational. The car has a clear PA title and is being offered without reserve. A $500 deposit will be required within 48 hours of the conclusion of the auction. The successful bidder will be responsible for alltransportation arrangements.
