Body is amazingly dry still with factory original under coating. Only three areas had very minor paintbubbling s( passenger door bottom 1x7 inch piec, driver door jam area 1x2 inch piece and driver side head light bottom . Please see the pictures)My 356 Restorer correctly fixed these areas....In any where on the body there are no other bubbling s on the paint or any rust what so ever, even battery trays are completely bone dry.
All interior is factory original (except 3 pieces leather changed on driver seat, and kept the original pieces ) Interior still has that unique aroma ( Lovely smell )She has full leather interior.
72 S never been damaged .All factory original 5 Fuchs wheels .Doors close as like new, they have that beautiful sound ....
Transmission fully rebuild on 4/24/2014 invoice was $11,286.88
Engine had new chain tensioners5/31/1979 in Dallas,TX.S is mostly serviced by famous Porsche mechanic Roger Chaney
There is a dent on one of the oil line ( please see the picture ) and as usual on 911 s ,dash has crack.
S has 104,042 K miles shown on the odometeras of today ( in the mileage record book few pages shows no mileage recorded only gas fil, from the total gallon, figured out another 11K miles should be added to the odometer readin, that will put the original mileage to 115,042 . Engine runs nice and powerful.)
At 74,137 miles on 5/5/1982 had it is first original Gemini blue paint spra, and we did freshened the paint in few areas to keep her all uniform. All around Paint looks lovely.S is always garaged and covered. No chrome pitting et, all the chrome and rubber in superb condition.
MFI is gone long ago.Owner did not keep it.
72 S is ready to travel any distance if you wish to.( Would be better to buy new tires if need to be travelling long distance,They look very nice butfor safety i would change them. for city driving they should be fine )
PCA and 356 Registry member 35 years .S is guaranteedfor funds return if not happy.
Please bid with confidence and PPI is strongly advised.
New Owner will be the second owner.
Indeed she is a rare find, been only Oklahoma,Texas and New Mexico car only, always in dry climate and One Doctor Owner with an amazingpreservation thru the years..

1972 Porsche 911S
A dramatic rise in value has transformed the 911S into a Grade A collectibleFor the model year 1972, Porsche built 12,962 911 cars. Of those, only 1,750 were S coupes.
"I'm going to add my vote for the 72 being the preferred model, partly due to the oil tank location being a big part of that car's overall essence of "911"what I perceived was the "last" of the pure 911's, where everything was dedicated to better performance.

"I have to agree, '72 is my favorite year. All models in the US had MFI. I do not think the '73's had any advances so we could call the '72 the best of the longhoods."
"My favorite year as well. Piech at his best.
Provide a tougher transmission to handle the increased torque, move 15 pounds of oil in front of the rear wheel, tweak the struts for better geometry, ditch the hydro-pneumatic suspension on the std. E, make available a front air dam bumper, add inertia belts, improve the radiator cooler (no trombone yet), no door bars yet, no ugly black bumperettes yet, S is still top model, provide new colors - and keep the chrome (but make the grilles out of plastic to save a few ounces)."
"My favorite too! According to a factory publication at the time, moving the oil tank in front of the rear wheel moved the center of gravity 6 inches forward. Now that is a big change for a rear biased car design. It was a good engineering design, but unfortunately it was moved back behind the rear wheel until the introduction in 89 of the 964. Maybe Porsche could have won a few more races in the 70s with the 911 and its RSR iterations had they stayed with the design...On Apr-30-17 at 08:55:59 PDT, seller added the following information:
