1965 Ford GT 40 CAV factory built replica, manufactured in 2000. This is a meticulous re-creation of one of the most iconic vehicles of all time. Current prices for an excellent condition genuine GT40 exceed four million dollars, this low mileage faithful recreation ( a percentage of the parts are even interchangeable with the original) which performs as good or better than the original with modern creature comforts, can be had for a small fraction of the cost of the original ( reserve is well under 5% of the value of the original)

It spent some of its life in California and has California SB100 smog exemption.

It is now registered and titled in Florida as a 1965 Ford with antique Blue plates.

The GT40 is powered with a roller rocker 302 with aluminum heads and FAST 8 stack fuel injection reminiscent of the 8 stack Weber carburetors of that era without the hassle.

Transmission is a Getrag 5 speed unit with gated shifter.

15 inch Halibrand style wheels front and rear with safety wired knock offs.

Brakes are power disc front and rear.

Suspension is adjustable coil over shocks.

This GT40 is cooled by a C&R aluminum radiator with dual electric fans controlled by the FAST module and manual override "on" dash switch.

Exhaust is piped through the "bundle of snakes" exhaust system quieted by dual Magna Flow mufflers with stainless heat shields for the street. A straight pipe exhaust system is offered with the sale.

Steering is a manual rack and responsive with a quick release steering wheel for ease of entrance.

All of the plexiglass windows and light coverings have been replaced by polycarbonate (lexan) units directly from the CAV factory in South Africa

This GT40 is air conditioned and blows cold.
