Description of 1991 Toyota MR2 |
I am sadly selling my Toyota MR2. I bought the car back in 2015 with a professionally swapped Gen 4 3SGTE engine put in at 257,000 miles. She is currently sitting on 17x8 and 17x9 Enkei RPF1's wrapped in one year old Yokohama S.Drives. Has Koni Yellow adjustable shocks and Eibach springs which were put in around April. Full 3 inch exhaust. Has custom 3 inch downpipe and 3 inch Berk exhaust. Also has Momo Steering Wheel and a 93+ stick lever for better shifting. Engine pulls extremely hard and short gear + quick spooling turbo makes for excellent throttle response and power. Sticks to the road extremely hard and stays planted. The only real issue she has is that she overheats on extremely hot days. The cooling system doesn't hold pressure. There is a leak from the heater pipes above the fuel tank that needs to be patched. Common issue on MR2's. Speedo has recently died. Problem is probably routed in the speedo cable. I replaced speedo gear with Toyota one last year and speedo cable with a rock auto part. Cosmetically, the car has a couple spots of peeling paint. PO had the car in South Carolina. Car is missing interior door trims. Will include in sale. During my move, someone threw the screws out. Will also throw in extra RPF1 with slight bend from Long Islands wonderful potholes. Still holds air. No rust besides typical surface rust and light rust in a ding from PO. Car report shows one accident, which is from a drunk driver. Damage is shown in rear bumper picture. Car is quite sturdy. Feel free to email if you have any questions. |
