Description of 1994 Toyota T100 DX |
I am the 2nd owner of this bruiser and I purchased it from an older gentleman in my neighborhood who purchased this T100 new (original wheels as part of a dealer-package) in South Florida when new in 1994. I purchased the vehicle from him in 2015 with every intention of keeping the mileage on my Lexus LS down but with three kids, not so much. I purchased the truck with 121,xxx and it now, 3 yrs later, only has 123,492! The reason I was so interested in this particular truck is because the gentleman I purchased it from is "one of those guys." He owned the T100, has a new Tundra and a Cadillac CT6 and they are all garage kept and pampered. The T100 was his daily driver and when he retired he started a handy-man service, mainly painting as you can see from the spills in the bed liner. I have a ton of pictures of this vehicle showing every detail (including full under body up on lift), please follow this link:https://www.flickr.com/photos/1994t100/ You will find the original owners manual and some of the many reports/invoices proving the gentleman I purchased the T100 from and I don't skimp or cut corners. Newer tires, brakes, muffler, radiator, alternator, belts (Gatorback), valve covers/gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, fuel lines - & - complete head gasket replacement, completed at Gatorland Toyota. He and I only ever ran Mobil 1 full-synthetic and I, once I decided to sell, paid Gatorland Toyota and AERSI Toyota/Lexus separately for pre-purchase inspection reports which are included in the pictures. Nonetheless, I invite you to have the vehicle inspected by a local (to me) mechanic of your choice and at your cost. This is a 24 yr. old truck but it is rust free. It was never used to tow anything (see the chrome where the trailer hitch would seat.) It is not perfect by any means but it's solid as hell and still looks pretty darn nice, too. There are some dings, dents and scratches, expected for the age of the vehicle. The bench-seat was fairly worn so I just paid to have CalTrend out of California craft custom upper and lower neoprene seat covers, head rest covers and an arm rest cover. While I was at it, I pitched the OEM floor mats which were spent and installed 2 new heavy-duty Autocraft mats and a brand new battery, this week. Please pay close attention to the following information it may be very important and for some, may be a deal-breaker:- there is no AC (you'll see in the quote from Gatorland Toyota that the compressor is shot and they want $900+ and frankly, I just don't need AC that badly - I roll the windows down and they do just fine)- the engine runs perfectly and the transmission shifts smoothly; however, there's an occasional what I consider to be a mild grinding noise from the engine (nothing loud or obnoxious, but it exists from time to time). However, you will see in the notes from both AERSI and the Toyota dealer that the noise is coming from the AC compressor. I've been assured it will not affect the way the engine performs, it just may sound annoying at times and if you ever decide to replace the compressor, that will alleviate the noise.- the passenger door, most of the time, will only open from the inside- the driver-side airbag light is on and I'm from an era where a seat belt does me fine so I never had it checked out or repaired- Finally, the Toyota V06 recall campaign (you can google for more info.) - this would have been a $2179.00 head gasket repair but Toyota did right and covered the complete repair under warranty.- the original tint is peeling and if you care to, will need to be either removed or redone That's it. This is a great low-mileage truck at a great price and I have the clear title in hand. Thank you kindly for your interest and please contact me with any questions. This vehicle is being sold as-is with no warranty and no returns allowed. If you decide to purchase the truck and plan to have it shipped/picked up by a transport company I will assist you and the transport company, of course at your cost. Thank you. |
