Meet “Gypsy”! A 1971 VW camper (made in Germany) with 39,553 miles. Clear title. Restored 5 years ago by a retired Volkswagen mechanic. Restoration included engine overhaul, new pop-top tent, full paint job, new white wall tires and new interior upholstery and foam cushions. Has original child hammock but the canvas is torn. Original combo sink/ice box (needs pump), original radio (not working?), and rear hatch mosquito netting. I have the interior light fixtures but have not hooked them up (wiring is there and ready). Extent of wiring issues seem to be limited to dash lights and brake lights.Powerful Dual Carb, 6-cylinder Corvair engine easily pushes bus to at least 65 mph. However, it does have a bad piston ring on one cylinder according to a mechanic. Four speed manual transmission. Solid body with no rust issues. Some surface rust on bumpers and around left headlight bezel. One small spot where there was a paint bubble in front that needs a little touch up.I enjoyed driving her and even ran a little business out of her for awhile but cannot use her anymore due to health issues. She has been under covered storage for the last couple of years. I hate to let her go but she deserves to be out on the road having adventures! Purchaser responsible for transport.
