1967 VW Type II S0-42 Pop Top Camper Bus !

Fresh top to bottom, gorgeous & perfectly restored !

We have the pleasure of having this groovy & very desirable top of the line '67 Type II S0-42 Pop Top Camper that has just come from a complete top to bottom nut & bolt restoration. This Pop-Top Camper has it all...suicide doors, all of the beautiful wooden cabinets, fold down back seat cushions (made for sleeping on when not upright), fold down dining table & many multiple storage units, the most desirable S0-42 optional walk thru passage way w/2 bucket seats, 5 jalousie crank open glass windows on both sides, etc. This is the best year for these as its the very last year for a split front windshield design as well as it having a 1st year factory 12v system for ease of repairs. We made this a perfect original equipped show stopper. We spent 500 hours remanufacturing every door bottom, body panels & some areas of the floors to perfection using metal w/no body fillers at all. There is absolutely no rust at all anywhere on its body & chassis that hasn't been removed & made to like new condition. We then finished her off in a perfect concours show level 2-tone paint sceme of an Ivory over Lotus White combination which far exceeds its original factory type factory finish, in fact its one of the best we have ever seen. Mechanically we had a Factory fresh period correct original 1500 cc motor installed, put in a complete new wiring harness for perfect reliability & went thru every item on it from its lights to its brakes making sure its perfect as well as all cables front to back. Our friend & VW expert Bruce Wolzanski did all the rebuilding on this beautiful So-42 to enable it being taken anywhere on the road w/safety & comfort. Every interior light works. It has 1 interior & 1 exterior electric outet working perfectly. We then had a brand new complete wood interior fabricated including all roof top & side interior panels front to back installed, made by Ralph Power of Ormond Beach Florida. To compliment its original factory paintwork colors we chose its original white bucket seats up front on each side of its walk thru area along w/a full Saddle Tan back Camper seating & accessories.We have rebuilt its complete "Pop Top" mechanism w/new tan cloth & screens. Its front passenger compartment has all new rubber floor trim w/a perfect set of these rare Bucket seats. For those that do not know...these 2 seats are completely different from each other & cannot be interchanged with any other seat that VW manufactured. It also has a perfect working original Sapphire V AM Radio. She has all its gauges working perfectly w/an added Voltage gauge installed at some point. Her windshield wipers operate properly having the coolest lock down holder used when its "pop open" front windows are being used.She also sports a brand new starring wheel & horn button...also working perfectly.The speedometer was reset now showing a total 34 miles of test driving we have put on her from its restoration completion We have replaced every piece of rubber trim all over from all of its windows to every door trim. We even removed & completely restored its front doors & sliding windows to work perfectly as they never work properly on these Type II's. All new window screens are installed w/new custom curtains & curtain over riders. Its "Pop Open" Split front windshield is fresh & has all correct wiper parts that are working perfectly. All 5 jalousie glass windows were also completely rebuilt to perfection. She nownow rides on a set of perfect period correct B.F.Goodrich 7.50-14 4 ply polyester Whitewall tires on its original steel wheels to finish her off like new. This complete restoration cost in excess of $150K. + the cost of a good Type II donor which was so hard to find in any condition. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to acquire the BEST restored all original example of a 1967 Type II S0-42 Camper in the world. We made this restoration a pint of referance to any future restorations we would do in our future as well as any restorations we can manage for cars of our clientele. We spent well over 3000 hours making this the most perfect & perhaps best looking Camper to come to this crazy market in the last decade.
