Description of 1962 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Convertible

62 Bug convertible. Very good solid car. Heater channels and rockers in great shape. Floors are also good, but PO replaced the rear haft of them. Convertible support rails need some work. Under the fenders, bumper mounts and trunk area are very good. This Bug was restored back in the 80's and the color was changed from Bahama Blue to Red. It was a professional job doing so. They also did the top bows. The interior was redone in Red and Black cloth. The rare convertible only mirror is also there. High Back seats were put in at that time. ( I have original low backs that go with the car ) Transmission shifts and works fine, brakes also work good. Wiring is in good working condition. The Motor will need new pistons and jugs and the heads worked on or new heads. Motor turns over fine. A complete new carpet kit is included. Will need a new top, front header bow and rear tack bow. All top hardware is there. Also the rear motor lid is not the correct one. Louvers could be cut in it. or find another one. This Bug is complete. I have the rear bumper and box's of parts some new that go with it. Built in October of 1962 and titled as a 1963. Title in my name.
