European Motor Studio is proud to offer this lovely 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT Coupe finished in Rosso over Nero leather. This GT left the Alfa Romeo Turin factory on the 11th of February 1964 and sold on the 20th of February 1964 in Torino Italy. Chassis number AR601571 is a very early Giulia Sprint “Stepnose” 105 Bertone Coupe from the first year of production. The car has passed through several documented owners in Italy and then restored in Italy in 2005 where it was painted, chrome re-plated, trim replaced, interior re-trimmed and engine and mechanicals rebuilt and a new exhaust system has been installed. The car was imported into the United States within the last few years and comes with documentation of its early life and ownership history while in Italy and has traveled a mere 86,400 miles showing on the odo (139,000KM). The paint shows very well and has a very nice deep luster and finish, the bright work is all very nice and clean along with all of the rubber trim and glass. The interior is excellent and show very little wear. The gauges all look very nice and all of the switchgear and trim are all in excellent condition. The 1600CC engine has a consistent 170psi in all four cylinders and runs beautifully. It starts right up and does not smoke under start up or acceleration. It revs freely and shifts very smoothly through its 5-speed manual gearbox. The clutch feels excellent and free from any slipping or fading and the brakes have a good feel to them also free from any fade or noises. The suspension feels very nice and solid as does the steering. All of the electronics are working and functioning on the car including the exterior lights and the interior lights. The body is very nice and straight and free from any damage or rust. Aside from a few small stone chips in the front nose and the front grille that looks to be original chrome, the body and paint looks very good. The undercarriage is very nice and tidy and pretty original. It does look like the center floors have been replaced but professionally done with no other signs of any rust issues or damage. Accompanied with the car are the original tools in their original bag, the original jack and spare tire, a workshop manual and an owner handbook and the original radio. This is a lovely example of a very early production “Stepnose” Alfa Romeo GT that has been well cared for and enjoyed over the years. Very rare to come by these early GT’s especially in well preserved maintained condition with known history.
