ABOUT THIS CAR:

A very clean and well sorted example of the 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT "Scalino" (Stepnose), part of a the personal collection of a professional race car driver, set up for racetrack fun.

The car has just received a full service and needs nothing but an enthusiast behind the wheel. This is a no rust car with an excellent quality repaint in classic Italian racing red. Overall the body is in very good condition with no rust, excellent chrome, trim and lenses. Paintwork was professionally done and is deep with a fine luster and shows really well with only a few very minor flaws. OEM front and rear bumpers are included.

The immaculate interior features low back buckets in attractive, original black textured vinyl, plush carpets and padded door panels. The tasteful details include a correct steering wheel with elegant alloy spokes and horn tabs. The stunning dash is accented by a large pair of matching analog dials for the speedo and tachometer, with twin auxiliary gauges to either side for complete instrumentation.

The upgraded suspension includes Centerline performance lowering springs, adjustable Koni shocks and new rubber bushings. The engine is a full 1600cc unit fitted with dual Weber carburetors and Centerline alloy carb horns. Stock airbox is included with the sale. A new Centerline GTA style full exhaust system with headers was recently installed. Gearbox is the delightful 5-speed full synchro unit of Alfa legend.

The engine shows good compression and oil pressure, and starts readily, runs very well. A new radiator has been installed. All drive belts replaced, air, oil and fuel filters and all fluids replaced recently. Rare and special factory alloy wheels have been powder coated in gold and feature attractive round vent holes. New tires have just been fitted.

The car has received regular maintenance since being acquired by the current owner in 2016 including oil changes every 2,000 miles, complete driveline rebuild with new bushings and balancing, complete brake system rebuild, full suspension rebuild. Headlight have been upgraded to modern units. All work and maintenance performed by Prestige Autohaus in Walnut Creek, CA.

All modifications to the car are reversible and the car comes with all the OEM parts including bumpers, springs, shocks, airbox and headlights etc.

With very low original mileage (under 69K miles) and the comprehensive restoration, this Scalino drives beautifully and feels tight and solid on the road or race track. The rich exhaust sound will thrill every Alfa enthusiast. The classic and tasteful color combination shows off the exceptional design to best effect. This Alfa always gets the favorable attention of marque enthusiasts.
