Description of 1965 Chevrolet C-10 |
I am selling my 1965 Chevy C10 Stepside. short bed. The truck is white with red and white leather interior and armrest. The truck has a brand new freshly rebuilt 283 engine. It has power steering and power disc brakes. I was told the front end is from a newer model truck. It has brand new tires and rims with less than 100 miles on them. It has a brand new wood bed. The truck has over $4. 00 in brand new parts such as trim. bumpers. windows. etc. all from LMC. The truck was taken off the frame and coated and painted. The truck runs very well. No A/C in the truck and the gas tank was not relocated. Truck is sold with a bill of sale from Georgia and a T-22 form which is a police verification that the vehicle is not stolen. Georgia does not reissue titles for classic vehicles. The story on the truck is I bought it at auction and planned to restore as a gift for my Dad. I drove the truck around for about a month just to make sure of what I wanted to do and to give time to find the right restoration person. So many shops wanted $20. 00 up front etc. I found a guy that I thought was going to get it right and in a timely manner. You probably see where this is going. 18 months later I still had a basket case truck and had paid him the $15. 00. I actually media blasted the truck to bare metal to make sure he had a clean blank canvas to start and it still did not help. I took the truck from him in December and gave it to another person and gave him a budget of $6. 00 to finish it in 30 days. He did finish it but in my opinion. I was not happy and could not present the truck to my father as I had hoped. It just was not good enough in my eyes. The truck is a solid running. driving truck with almost all new parts. It would be great for a teenager to drive daily or the person who wants to make it perfect on their own time. The reserve is well below what is in this truck and priced much more in a realistic value for these trucks. I have seen some for $25. 00 and some for $14. 00 and mine is neither of those. It is those little things that someone else with the time and knowledge can just touch that will make this closer to the $25. 00 truck it can be. I have never sold a car on ebay. I live in Georgia close to Atlanta and will work with the buyer in any way they feel comfortable in finalizing any deal. I want it to be good for someone else. it just will never be that for me. |
