Description of 1957 Chrysler Imperial Crown

**** This is a NO RESERVE auction! Highest bid wins! ****
You're looking at a very rare 1957 Chrysler Imperial Crown coupe with 102,160 original miles. It has spent it's life in California, isconsin, llinois and Connecticut from the old registrations and titles that we have. It has a clean Illinois title with no liens. It has the original 392 Hemi engine, ush button transmission, ower windows, ower brakes, ower steering, ower seat and a FliteSweep deck lid.
It runs and drives great. The carburetor was rebuilt at 102,086 miles in 2013 and new mufflers and resonators done at 101,807 miles in 2013. It has new brakes and a recent oil change and new filter. It has great oil pressure.New battery and new starter. All the gauges and speedometer work. All the lights work, ncluding the backup lights. The rear window defogger and heater blower motor work. The power seat works. The passenger side front window does not work. The motor may need to be rebuilt. All the other windows go up and down and all the glass is good. The windshield has some wiper marks which may be able to be buffed out. The radio works, ut there is an issue with the mast lead.
The car was professionally detailed a month ago. The interior is original. The carpet is clean but has stains. The door panels and rear seat are in good shape for their age. The front seat driver's side has some tears and the headliner has some small holes and areas of discoloration. The gauges and steering wheel are in good shape. The steering wheel pad has separated in some spots. The plastic dash pad has some waves but is not cracked. The plastic Imperial emblem on the driver's side dash is missing. There is no key for the glove box door.
This is a very original and unrestored car with the exception of one repaint in its close to correct color. We're guessing it was painted in the 1970's or 1980's. After the initial pictures were taken there was an unfortunate mishap pulling the car into the garage where some paint was scraped off the lower center of the passenger door as shown in the picture with the Sharpie marker next to it to show its size. This is not going to show in the general pictures of the car. I have two pictures of the area that has been touched up with some paint. There are some rust bubbles in the rocker panel area on the passenger side (as shown). The bumpers are shiny with some small imperfections, o dents. The stainless trim is nice, ome pitting. The grill is in nice shape. The passenger side blinker lens is cracked. The trunk handle is cracked. I believe they reproduce them now. The hubcaps are in decent shape. The tires are 30 years old but in good shape. It actually rides really nice.
The underside of the car has surface rust and the factory undercoating is coming off in areas. It needs a complete detail underneath, ire brushing, ainting and re-undercoat. There is one area of the body mount that needs rust repaired (as shown).
To sum it up, his is a true classic that you don't see too many of. The gentle giant with that quiet Hemi. Comfort and power all in one! I would call this car a true survivor and great driver quality car. In the video where you see the car driving, hat is not smoke. It was a cold day and it was moisture coming out the exhaust.
