1968 V-8 FORD MUSTANG COUPE project from MustangBeginnings This would be the perfect Father and Son or Daughter project for your whole family. If you have ever wanted a 68 Mustang that was affordable, fast, and almost fully restored, This is the car! This is an original V-8, 289 "C" code car, with 5 lug suspension both front and rear. Call us if you need a different engine or transmission, no problem we have most kinds, and are available separately at very reasonable prices. This was originally a White Mustang, but you can paint it any color you like. We have included some pictures of other Mustangs at the end of the photos below showing how the car might look when finished. We have included some pictures of other Mustangs at the end of the photos below showing how the car might look when finished. The 1968 Mustang brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and Ford's strategy worked—selling more Mustangs than ever before. When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $20,000 or more. BODY: The roof has some rust in the normal areas, and there are a couple of rust spots in the floor pan, but not that bad. The passenger door has a dent which can be pulled out, and the fenders will need some work as well, but new ones are only $150. If you are new to the restoration process, we can coach you through all the steps. Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for restoration. INTERIOR: The interior will need a little work, and it is really the easiest part of the restoration. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren't accepting someone else's mistakes or bad repairs. All the wiring, instrument panel, seats, etc. will come with the car but will need to be restored. Both front buckets seats and the rear seat will be included but will need to be reupholstored, and we can sell you anything you need for redoing the interior. The rear seat was out of the car when we took the pictures, but we can include it with the car. The door panels and dash pad are missing, but you will probably want new ones anyway. ENGINE BAY: Engine bay is in great condition. We would recommend getting a rebuilt, ready to go 289 V-8 to get the car running as soon as possible. If you want to upgrade, a 302 or 351 Windsor will drop right in. Please contact us separately for recommendations on where to find the engine you want. BRAKE SYSTEM: The Mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can include those for $1,500, but not installed. GLASS: The windshield is missing, and you will need a new one. The cost is usually around $175. The rest of the glass will be included, but there may be nicks or scratches which can be fixed or replaced. MISC. The Mustang comes with everything shown in the pictures, and most all of its parts. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need At MustangBeginnings we are here to help you make your restoration a success. Please contact us if you have any questions. WE HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND PLAN TO KEEP IT THAT WAY! THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE, I ENCOURAGE ALL THOSE WHO BID TO COME SEE THE CAR FIRST IF POSSIBLE OR SEND SOMEONE HERE TO INSPECT IT. WE HAVE COMPLETED OTHER 68 MUSTANGS AND KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPLETE THIS CAR. THIS IS A GOOD CAR TO START WITH. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A 68 MUSTANG THAT NEEDS TO BE REBUILT INTO SOMETHING SPECIAL. AGAIN, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL BIDDERS TO CHECK THE CAR OUT IF POSSIBLE THAT WAY THERE ARE NO MISUNDERSTANDING, MISTAKES, MISCOMMUNICATION, AND ALL THE OTHER MISES. THE CAR MIGHT NEED THINGS WE DID NOT LIST BUT THE MAJOR ONES HAVE BEEN LISTED. WE PUT THE WORD "PROJECT" IN THE DESCRIPTION TO COVER ANYTHING WE MIGHT HAVE NOT SEEN. WE HAVE THE CAR FOR SALE LOCALLY AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY.
