Description of 1978 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

For sale is an exquisite "early" example of Mercedes famous 300D. This car has covered 71517 miles since new. Presented in an incredibly rare optional colour "called" English Red It is in immaculate condition as evidenced by the photos. The seats are all in like new condition with no "pinking. the seatback nets are tight. and the chrome trim which when exposed to salt usually goes milky is crystal clear and shiny. The floor mats are made of an incredibly tough sisal material. but the original carpets are underneath and all accounted for. This vehicle has been completely serviced in the last month with the following - Mercedes battery. V-belts. cruise control module. conversion to pencil glow plugs. Valve adjustment. coolant change. oil and filter. air filter. fuel filters. engine mounts. Brake Master cylinder and servo. front brake calipers. all 4 rotors and ceramic pads as well as all brake hoses. A brand new set of tires on freshly sand blasted and powder-coated steel wheels to top it all off and there is no expense aside from the purchase to incur. This car can be driven ANYWHERE with complete confidence. The paint appears to be original. The dash is un-cracked and the wood is like new. The spare has never touched the ground maintaining it's original chalk like substance on the tire and the jack appears to have never been used. The best way to describe the car is "time capsule. "Comes with owners manuals as well. We at E. U. Autoworks work on. own. and drive a lot of vintage MB vehicles and this car excels in all ways. It feels like a new W123 chassis should. Starts right up with a flick of the key. shifts smooth and sharply. all original except the radio and amber fog lights (have original clear lights if you want them installed) and EVERYTHING works flawlessly from the electric antenna to A/C to the cruise control.
