Vehicle Details 1956 mercury Phanton everything is original. Car was garage kept for 30 years in New York. The lady that owned it got the oil changed drove it 50 miles then parked it in the garage. After she passed away her children found it brought it to Florida and that is when I got it. All I have really done so far is pull the seats out and take the carpet out so I could see the floor panels. Which look in excellent condition except for one Silverdollar size rust hole in the front passenger floorboard the rest is surface rust. I also pulled the engine to start deep cleaning it then we had to move so I cleaned and oiled all the parts and wrapped it in saran wrap. But a few holes here and there I’ve given some spots surface rusted again. In the meantime I was buying all new brakes master cylinder and an updated 7” brake booster. New carpet that is custom fit and style for the car. And a couple of engine pieces I started painting to match the original engine color which was gold and teal from what I can tell. It has been sitting for a year and a half in a carport. The transmission is still sitting in it and it is a three speed Merc-O-Matic. Sorry for the poor quality undercarriage photos. There are a few small supports that are rusted away but the frame and everything else has just surface rust. The original exhaust is still intact and Just the muffler tips for rusted out. The main rust is the fender wells inside the trunk and all along the bottom panels and headlights. There’s still a solid 80% of the original tuxedo black paint job that can be saved. It does have some dings and dents here and there From where the original owner bumped into things but overall the body is in great shape. I am selling as a project car or for parts and just trying to get what I have in it back out. I would really rather not part it out considering it’s all original and such low miles. Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!
