Description of 1967 Other Makes

My wife and I are offering our 1967 Sunbeam Alpine named "Alfie" to a good home. We have too many cars and projects so we are reluctantly hoping to find him a new owner. Alfie was owned by a family in California for many years until the father was unable to drive and look after him. He was apparently a fanatical owner. as we have receipts. service records. nbsp; hand written log books . and registration cards dating back to the early 70's. These include rebuilt engine. electrics. hydraulics. belts. hoses. and many odds and ends which totalled a fortune. He is also a matching numbers car. The body is dead straight with no visible rust anywhere. and only one respray from new. Alfie was kept in great condition as he was kept inside under a cover. The respray is a basecoat/clearcoat in the original colour of Forest Green-essentially a British Racing Green. The paintwork itself is good driver quality. There are some minor nicks. chips and scratches but unless you would like to do a full resto for show we didnt think a respray was needed as we wanted to keep him close to original as possible. It does not appear that he was ever hit. the panel gaps are great and all the doors. bonnet and boot shut very well. The top was replaced a few years ago but is in great condition with a nice window. He has a nifty roll bar which does not interfere at all with the top operation. The carpet is in good condition and appears to be original to the car. We had the seats professionally reupholstered in black with BRG piping. The Motor sounds great. and has what looks to be a new muffler. the transmission also is great as are the brakes and clutch. All gauges and electrics work well too. He has been converted to electronic ignition for better starting and reliability. We have current registration and clear title in hand as well as all the documents that go with him. He is a car you can hop in and drive anywhere- I just took him out for a spirited drive today!Alfie is a very well preserved little sports car and we hope he will go to a good home and continue to get the love and attention he deserves.
